David Maus Toyota Previews the New Sequoia

The Toyota Sequoia continues to be one of the most beloved large SUVs in America. The perfect family car, the Sequoia offers a lush and comfortable interior, a fun driving feel and rugged exterior options.

For its 2015 model year, the Toyota Sequoia is carrying over most of its features, including its three trim levels: SR5, Limited and Platinum. Standard equipment on the base SR5 trim includes a power tilt and slide moonroof, three-zone automatic climate control, foglights, a roof rake, 18-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and Toyota's Entune Audio Plus system.

The middle-level Limited trim adds 20-inch wheels, Optitron instruments, leather seating, a power liftgate and the Entune Premium Audio system. Our 2015 Toyota Sequoia review recommends choosing the Platinum trim if you're looking for the most luxury and safety features on the SUV. This top tier trim adds Dynamic laser cruise control, an adaptive variable suspension, air suspension and perforated leather seating. Safety features on the Sequoia include blind-spot monitoring, tire pressure monitoring, daytime running lights and an advanced airbag system.

Under the hood, the 2015 Toyota Sequoia offers Orlando drivers a fun and powerful 5.7-liter V8 engine that rates at 381 horsepower and 401 lb.-ft. of torque. The V8 is paired nicely with a wonderful six-speed automatic transmission that has two overdrive gears that enhance fuel economy and reduce road noise.

Inside, the Sequoia's interior is lush and large. The SUV offers seating for up to 8 people with a big 3rd-row seat that accommodates three adult-sized passengers nicely thanks to large rear doors and a sliding 2nd-row. Well-appointed features and high-end materials round out the Sequoia's comfortable interior, which Florida families will love.
