What's New For the 2020 RAV4
Brand new for 2020 is the TRD Off-Road trim level. TRD means that the Toyota Racing Development engineers had a say in its design, helping to make it the ultimate off-road vehicle. The TRD Off-Road has a unique grille, rear spoiler, high-rise roof rails, a distinct front, and rear fascia, and stylish 18" alloy wheels with a matte black finish. There are some unique features inside of this trim level as well, including simulated leather upholstery with red stitching and special TRD badging.

What are the Available Trims and Features for 2020?
With the addition of the TRD Off-Road, there are now six different trim levels available for the 2020 RAV4. The others are known as the LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, and Limited. On the entry-level LE, you will find plenty of today's newest tech features. These include a 7" touchscreen with Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay capabilities, as well as one USB port.
Going higher in the trim levels adds features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, extra USB ports, a power liftgate, satellite radio, and more. Going all the way to the Limited trim gets you navigation and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency
There is only one powertrain for the 2020 RAV4. It is a 2.5L four-cylinder, and it is paired nicely with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This combination gets you 203-horsepower and 183 lb-ft of torque. FWD is the standard on most trims, but AWD can be had on any model. Most trim levels can tow up to 1,500 pounds. The Adventure trim is rated to tow up to 3,500.
Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020
All models of the 2020 RAV4 have quite a few advanced safety features. Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard. This gives you Forward Collision Warning, including Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Adaptive Cruise Control. It also has a system to detect drowsy driving.
Also available is a relatively new feature called Lane Tracing Assist. This uses Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and cameras to detect the lines in the road. When activated, it helps to keep the vehicle centered in its lane. The XLE trim level and up also gives you Blind Spot Monitoring featuring Rear-Cross Traffic Alert. While all trim levels give you a rearview camera, the Adventure mode adds guidelines to make it even more convenient.
