Although Toyota's cars are typically known for their high-reliability ratings compared to the industry average, Toyota takes its commitment to customer satisfaction a step furtherĀ by equipping all of its new vehicles with comprehensiveĀ factory warranties. The automaker's factory warranties apply to both hybrid and non-hybrid Toyota models. The factory warranty will cover the cost of specific parts and labor included in that particular warranty. Additional warranties can be purchased for used vehicles for added peace of mind.
New Vehicle Warranty
Toyota's New Vehicle Warranty covers all of its new cars. This warranty features a Basic Coverage package covering all new components in a Toyota, except for parts that are damaged due to everyday wear and excess usage. The New Vehicle Warranty lasts a maximum of 36,000 miles or up to 36 months.
Powertrain Warranty
Toyota's Powertrain Warranty is another warranty that is standard on all new Toyota models. The Powertrain Warranty includes coverage for components in the vehicle's powertrain system, including the engine, transmission system and components, and the transaxle. This warranty applies to vehicles that are configured with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The warranty also covers airbags and seat belts in the vehicle. All parts in the Toyota's powertrain system are covered for a maximum of 60,000 miles or up to 60 months.
Rust-Through Coverage
Toyota also offers warranty protection against vehicle rusting. This warranty covers damage due to corrosion that perforates the sheet metal. The Rust-Through Warranty is effective for up to 60 months regardless of miles driven.
Emissions Warranty
Toyota also has an Emissions warranty as one of its standard vehicle warranties. This warranty applies to Toyota models sold across the United States. There's also a separate warranty just for Toyota vehicles sold in California. The owner's manual in your vehicle has more specific information about the precise emissions coverage for your car.
Hybrid Warranty
Toyota hybrid vehicles get a warranty covering the cost of replacing components in the hybrid mechanical system plus the expense of associated labor. Toyota hybrid vehicles will have coverage for their batteries with a warranty that lasts up to 10 years, starting when you buy the car or 150,000 miles. Coverage may vary by vehicle, so you should check the owner's manual to see your car's exact coverage and limitations.
Additional Protection
Along with the standard factory warranties, Seminole Toyota also offers supplemental MPP protection plans for older vehicles such as extended service contracts. Other optional plans available include lease wear and GAP coverage.
