The Toyota Prius also has a smooth ride that makes it equally pleasant for commuting and driving around town.
In 2020, the Toyota Prius is offered in six trim levels. The base trim is called the L Eco. This includes a seven-inch display screen with Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and Android Auto support. You'll also get two 2.1A USB charging ports in the back row.
The base trim covers your safety needs with a standard Safety Sense package, a Safety Connect feature, and round-the-clock roadside assistance. Some standard safety amenities you can look forward to are forward collision warning and lane-keep assist. The base trim gets 15-inch wheels and tires. The LE comes next. This trim has additional safety amenities, including rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring. It gets an impressive cargo capacity of nearly 25 feet. The XLE trim follows the LE.
This trim gets larger 17-inch alloy wheels with a five-spoke design. Its interior features SofTex power-operated seats that move in eight ways (for the driver) and four ways (for the front passenger). This trim is also equipped with a wireless charging unit for your smartphone. The Limited trim builds on that list with an upgraded JBL sound system and a larger 11.6-inch infotainment screen with navigation and a high-resolution background. The XLE's exterior has adaptive front lights and 17-inch wheels. The LE and XLE are both offered as separate trims with all-wheel drive.
The 2020 Toyota Prius has a hybrid gasoline and electric mechanical system. The gasoline engine has four cylinders and a 1.8L capacity. It produces 96 HP without the electric motors. With the electric motors included, the hybrid system generates 121 HP. All-wheel drive is standard on some Prius trims and available on the others.
In 2020, the Toyota Prius comes with plenty of safety technology across the board. The L Eco gets Toyota's Safety Connect system and its Star safety system featuring traction control and vehicle stability control. Forward collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist are also standard.
