From an upgraded safety package to a brand new hybrid model, the Toyota RAV4 is revved up and ready for its best model year yet! If you’re looking to buy or lease a new RAV4, or you’re still considering your options, continue on for all the details on these exciting updates.

Toyota Safety Sense P Now Standard on All Models

The expansion of the RAV4's safety features makes this thrill-seeking SUV even safer whether you’re cruising through the city or tackling tougher trails. The Toyota Safety Sense P includes technologies like automatic high beams, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist and a collision mitigation system with pedestrian detection. As you shop around, you’ll notice most other vehicles in this class do not offer these safety features standard, further proving Toyota’s dedication to making the latest active safety tech accessible to everyone.

Additionally, the RAV4 is equipped with smart stop technology, stability and traction control, brake assist and hill start assist, as well as a rear backup camera, which is incredibly helpful when navigating out of tight parking spots or low visibility situations.

New Top Tier Platinum Trim

Many buyers opt for the RAV4 because of its adventurous spirit and fun-to-drive nature. While comfort has always been a top priority on the SUV, buyers now have access to a luxurious grade that adds incredible amenities and comfort features on top of the Limited trim’s list. Easily identifiable by its unique badging and full body color exterior, the RAV4 Platinum is outfitted with a heated steering wheel, a five-door Smart Key, a hands-free power lift gate, Entune Premium JBL Audio with Integrated Navigation and App Suite, and a 360-degree Bird’s Eye View Camera.

2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Joins Lineup

The RAV4 goes green this model year, adding an all new hybrid model that delivers great performance and high fuel economy numbers. The hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine and an electric motor which, combined, produce 194 horsepower. With regenerative braking and several drive modes, conserving energy and fuel is easy. EPA-estimates rate the SUV at an impressive 32 mpg combined, and your range and average fuel economy can be monitored through the digital driver information center (pictured above).
