What's New For The 2020 Toyota Tundra?

The 2020 Tundra, Toyota says, "goes the distance." With its indestructible exterior, comfortable interior, and effortless performance capabilities, it's apparent that this year's Tundra stands out from the crowd. There are 11 distinct paint colors available to give the Tundra a custom appearance.

Some trim levels of the Tundra are equipped with fortified steering and handling elements to tackle off-road terrain. This includes a Fox suspension system, skid plate, and special wheels. The Tundra features an impressive towing capacity of 10,200 pounds, which is made easier with the right towing equipment. Fit for a king, the Tundra's interior features an eight-inch infotainment screen and all the amenities required to work and relax on the road. Smartphone integration gives you access to music, directions, messages, phone calls, and more.

Which Trims & Features are Available for 2020?

There are six trim levels of the Tundra in 2020. The base model is called the SR. It has a number of standard features. The SR, like the rest of the lineup, is available in several truck bed configurations. Air conditioning is standard, and the Tundra has room for six people. Split-folding rear seats are available as part of a package. Fabric-trimmed seats come standard. The doors are power-locking and the base trim has keyless entry. The SR5 is the next trim. A Smart Key system is available.

A backup camera is standard, and you can choose between bucket seats and leather seats for a more stylish finish. A total of three 12V auxiliary outlets (two in front and one in back) power up your devices on the road. Leather seats, air conditioning with a filter, and carpeted floors are standard on the Limited. The Platinum gets perforated leather seats, split-folding rear seats, and a standard Smart Key system. The TRD Pro features special custom leather seats with accent trim. It also gets a trim-specific shift knob. A premium combination audio and infotainment system are standard on the TRD Pro. It also comes with a special set of off-road amenities that give it more power and agility off the beaten path.

2020 Toyota TundraThere is one engine for the 2020 Toyota Tundra. It is a V8 with a 5.7L capacity. This engine generates a substantial 381 HP at 5,600 RPM and 401 LB-FT of torque at 3,600 RPM. It has independent variable valve timing and a fortified exhaust manifold. Dual black chrome-tipped exhaust outlets are standard on select trims. Across the board, the Tundra family gets a six-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain, but you can also choose the four-wheel drive for better traction in a wide variety of conditions.
