What's New For the 2021 Toyota Sienna?

The Toyota Sienna gets many notable updates and changes for 2021. The latest Sienna is redesigned from the ground up, with changes to its mechanical system for more power and better fuel economy. The Sienna lineup is the same as it was in 2020, but there are now more features that come standard on every trim level. You have more options for adding on extras to most trims as well. The Sienna gets a wave of fresh new technology for 2021, and it adds additional safety aids to the base level. The interior has been upgraded with better materials and new infotainment features, and it also has a new overall design for a cleaner and more polished look.

2021 Toyota Sienna Has Abundant Features

The base trim for the Sienna family is the LE. Many features are included at this level, including LED headlights on the front end. The interior features a new center console design that makes the infotainment and audio features easier to reach. Some amenities added to the base trim include a larger infotainment display and multi-zone climate control. The Sienna has a power-adjustable seat for the driver. A second power-adjustable seat for the front passenger is added to subsequent trims. The base Sienna has USB charging capabilities in all three rows. It supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and smartphone synchronization.

An auto-dimming rearview mirror is offered on this trim and standard on the XLE, the second Sienna trim. The XLE also has heated seats. Rather than cloth seats, it has faux leather upholstery for a classy look. The XLE has a 120V power outlet, too. The XSE gets a sporty black-accented exterior. The Limited and Platinum add leather seats and premium leather seats, respectively. The Platinum has slightly different LED headlights.

This year, the Toyota Sienna borrows hybrid technology from Toyota's RAV4 SUV for its source of power. The Sienna contains a four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. They replace the gasoline V6 engine that was previously used for all Sienna trims. The new powertrain offers better fuel efficiency and delivers 245 HP.

Sienna has many standard and optional safety amenities. Its standard features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, automatic high beams in the front, and lane departure warning that has a steering assist mechanism to keep the Sienna in its lane.
