The 2022 Toyota Tundra will be available in the SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, and TRD Pro.

There are several new features for the 2022 model year, including an updated infotainment system with a fourteen-inch display, a new 12-speaker JBL sound system, a redesigned front grille, and fog lamps, updated exterior colors, new 16, 17, and 18-inch alloy wheels designs with a dark gray finish and the all-new TRD Pro trim.

2022 Tundra Trims and Features

The 2022 Toyota Tundra will be available in SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, and TRD Pro.

Standard features on the base SR model include 18-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, cloth upholstery, power windows and door locks, air conditioning, and an eight-way adjustable driver seat.

The SR5 adds a power driver seat, heated front seats, a power outlet, and keyless entry.

The Limited adds 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, running boards, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, front and rear parking sensors, a 12-speaker JBL audio system with satellite radio capability, and Toyota's Safety Sense-P suite of advanced safety features.

The Platinum model builds on the Limited with a sunroof, 22-inch alloy wheels, power front seats with memory settings for the driver, and heated second-row seats.

The 1794 Edition adds unique badging and interior trim, a front skid plate, and 22-inch alloy wheels.

The TRD Pro is aimed at offroad enthusiasts and adds unique exterior styling elements such as blacked-out grille details, special 18-inch alloy wheels with tires that can handle rough terrain, and TRD-tuned Fox shocks.

2022 Toyota Tundra Horsepower

The car has a twin-turbo V6 engine. Its transmission is a ten-speed automatic. The base SR trim with a non-hybrid engine churns 348 hp and 405pound-feet but otherwise churns 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft.

The hybrid version features an electric motor and produces 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque.

Toyota Tundra Safety

This is an area where Toyota has made significant strides in recent years. There are six airbags standard on the 2022 Tundra CrewMax, including a driver knee airbag and second-row side-impact airbags that work together with curtain shield rear head protection to keep you secure no matter what happens.

The 2022 Tundra comes available with the Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) system as part of the optional Technology Package.

TSS-P is a comprehensive suite of advanced safety features that includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
