Federal incentives are available for new electric vehicle purchases—but not for long. Qualifying buyers may be eligible for up to $7,500 in tax savings through the Clean Vehicle Credit, which is set to expire on September 30, 2025, unless extended. A separate home EV charger tax credit is available through June 30, 2026.
